President Ruto Launches 81km Kasoyo–Kampi Samaki Road to Boost Connectivity in Baringo

President Ruto Launches 81km Kasoyo–Kampi Samaki Road to Boost Connectivity in Baringo, on 29th October 2025.

Tuesday, October, 2025, Baringo County: — Principal Secretary for Roads, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, yesterday joined H.E. President Dr. William Ruto, alongside Roads Cabinet Secretary Hon. Davis Chirchir and other national and county leaders, for the launch of the construction of the 81-kilometre Kasoyo–Riwo–Seretunin–Talai–Kasisit–Kipcherere–Kampi Samaki Road in Baringo County.

This road marks a significant milestone in the government’s agenda to expand infrastructure and strengthen connectivity across the country. Once completed, it will serve as a vital economic corridor linking rural communities to markets, administrative centres, and essential social amenities.

The project is poised to unlock Baringo’s vast economic potential by opening up Lake Baringo and surrounding areas to tourism and investment, while facilitating the smooth movement of agricultural produce and livestock. Enhanced accessibility is expected to spur trade, create jobs, and uplift livelihoods for residents across the region.

President Ruto reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to connect every corner of the country through a modern, dependable, and resilient road network — one that powers enterprise, expands opportunities, and anchors the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).   #SeamlessConnectivity
