Saturday, 22nd November, 2025: Today, Principal Secretary, Eng. Joseph Mbugua, accompanied the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, Davis Chirchir, in leading a high-level team to assess the Rironi–Mau Summit Road ahead of the groundbreaking by H.E. President William Ruto next week.
The leaders inspected the Rironi–Gilgil (A8) section of the upcoming Rironi–Mau Summit Highway dualling project under the PPP model.
President William Ruto is expected to preside over the groundbreaking of the Rironi–Mau Summit PPP project on Friday, 28 November 2025.
The transformative project is expected to enhance road safety, reduce travel time, and spur socio-economic growth along the corridor.
The delegation included KeNHA Acting Director General Eng. Luka Kimeli, PPP Directorate Director General Eng. Kefa Seda, Public Investments Director General Lawrence Kibet, and the KeNHA Corridor B team led by Director Eng. Terigin Kibet.
