Principal Secretary Eng. Joseph Mbugua Pays Courtesy Call on Kaimosi Friends University Vice Chancellor

On the sidelines of his inspection tour of the ongoing upgrading of the Shamakhokho–Kaimosi–Mpaka–Museno Road to bitumen standard, the Principal Secretary for Roads, Eng. Joseph M. Mbugua, CBS, paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of Kaimosi Friends University, Prof. Peter Mwita.

The meeting highlighted the critical role of quality road infrastructure in improving access to higher education, supporting research and innovation, and accelerating socio-economic development.

Prof. Mwita commended the Government's continued investment in infrastructure, noting that the upgraded road will significantly enhance accessibility to the University. He observed that the improved road network will facilitate the efficient movement of students, staff, researchers, and visitors, while creating new opportunities for investment, commerce, and community development across the Western Kenya region.

The State Department for Roads remains committed to delivering modern, reliable, and sustainable road infrastructure that not only connects communities but also strengthens institutions of learning, promotes economic growth, and improves the quality of life for all Kenyans.
