Roads Sub-Sector Kicks off Mid-Term Review of the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan

Secretary Administration for Roads, Evans Mutari, yesterday chaired the inaugural meeting of the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan Mid-Term Review (MTR) Technical Committee for the roads sub-sector.

The committee convened to initiate the review of the Strategic Plan, focusing on assessing progress, identifying implementation gaps, and proposing corrective measures to enhance performance. The exercise will be spearheaded by the Central Planning and Project Monitoring Unit (CPPMU), ensuring a coordinated and evidence-based review process across the sector.

Mutari underscored the critical role of the Technical Committee in steering the exercise, noting that its outcomes will inform strategic realignment, strengthen accountability, and improve efficiency in the delivery of road infrastructure programmes.

The committee is expected to oversee the review process, consolidate findings, and develop actionable recommendations to ensure the sector remains on track in achieving its strategic objectives.
